ABOUT THE BRAZOs WATERSHED ALLIANCE
We remain dedicated to fighting industrial sprawl and defending our vital resources; water, air, and wildlife. Through grassroots advocacy, public outreach, community-led initiatives, including fundraising. We are committed to preserving a healthy, thriving environment for our community and wildlife here in Precinct 2 for this and future generations

A massive Data Center Campus and Power Plant Project (Pacifico Spunky LLC) is proposed to be built along the banks of our iconic Brazos River. This “project” threatens to destroy 862 acres of wildlife habitat which supports our beautiful Bald Eagles, Endangered Golden-Cheeked Warblers, and tricolored bats.
Pacifico Energy plans to construct an 862-acre industrial complex encompassing a massive multi-building data center campus, a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and a 473-megawatt natural gas power plant. These type of utility (BESS) systems can house thousands of pounds of flammable lithium batteries.
The implications of such a project for our water resources, air quality, noise levels, property values, and the overall peaceful enjoyment of our environment cannot be overstated. We are not just talking about a minor inconvenience; this project poses a severe and enduring risk to the quality of life we cherish here.
